Boko No No.

Not again.  We all remember Al Qaeda.  We all remember how hard it was to get all of the various ways medias were spelling it.  Then Fiji.  Or Isis, or whatever mass murdering martyr-in-training brigades are going by at any damn time.

But, no one’s really talking all that much about Boko Haran.  Study up.  These GUYS suck.

Boko Haran

15 life-threatening attacks happen against students, educators, and education institutions every single day. Children and teachers can be kidnapped, sexually abused, or recruited as soldiers — among other atrocities, with the school buildings in which they work threatened by bombs. It is horrifying that this still goes on.”

From a “Global Citizen” essay on the burgeoning horror.  There is Palestine.  Syria.  U.S. streets and our own militarized police force  murdering our own young boys right here at home.  There’s only so much we can do.  But, we’re not completely powerless.  I am not a giant fan or supporter of online petitions.  But, they are something.  If you have a moment, please consider signing this one.

“We need more of the world’s most powerful countries on board. France and Canada signed the agreement last year. Now, the support of the UK is vital. Sign the petition to tell the UK: please get on board to help every child stay safe in their place of learning!

Good article, although there are so many things taking place worldwide it’s difficult to point at only one. The situation in Nigeria is of great concern. Those who have fled are being sold and used as slaves in other countries. Bought for as little as $300 and abused horribly. I like to think that the world has good in it, every corner of it.
    Thanks for your article.
Btw: Amal Clooney and her husband Rock in this arena.

  2. Thanks for your comment. The Clooney’s are active against BH?
